Excellent course and an excellent teacher, this course follows the book "Computer Networks" (the BIBLE) from A. Tannenbaum and D. Wetherall (the teacher).
Provides solid understanding of the network issues, one of the good ones on Coursera.
Gives the lower layers of networking in great detail.Although it becomes quite difficult for students having no knowledge in computer networks , but a little extra hardwork can easily help them learn a lot of things about how internet works.
Excellent course, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about how the internet actually works. I've worked in IT for some time, but this course filled in a lot of the gaps in my knowledge about networks. I learnt a lot & I had fun doing it.
Very well done, lectured by the author of one of the definitive networking textbooks. However, their optional programming assignments were much less clear.
